How to add a YouTube song tutorial video
Song Tutorial Videos is built for YouTube lessons that teach you how to play songs on supported instruments. The site reads the song and artist from the YouTube video title when you add it.
What you need
- A public YouTube video URL.
- An account on Song Tutorial Videos.
- The instrument you want the video filed under: Piano, Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Drums, or Ocarina.
- A difficulty choice: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Mixed.
Steps
- Open the YouTube tutorial video you want to add.
- Copy the URL from your browser address bar.
- Go back to the video library and click Add video in the header.
- Paste the YouTube URL, choose instrument and difficulty, then add optional notes.
- Use PRACTICING when you are working on the song and COMPLETED when you are finished.
Duplicate videos
If the same YouTube video already exists, the site will not add a second copy. Instead, it shows a message with a link to the existing video page.
Fast add from YouTube
The Chrome extension can add the current YouTube video from YouTube itself. If the video already exists, the extension moves it to your PRACTICING list.
